Copy Files in Terminal with Progress

The following terminal command will copy files from one location to another and show all progress.

rsync -ah —progress <source-file> <destination>

Add a “/“ at the end of the path if you want to copy the whole directory and its contents.

Example:

rsync -ah —progress /users/nchand/Music/ /Volumes/BACKUP/Music
